Tomorrow, October 21st, The PC Weenies becomes a teenager. That’s right – Bob and company have been online for 13 years.
Bob’s biggest wish is to delight even more new readers. Maybe we can make Bob’s dream come true…
All you have to do is hit the ‘like’ button on Facebook or use the social buttons up above to share the comic with your friends and coworkers. Or you could buy a copy of the first PC Weenies book “Rebootus Maximus”! Artist Edition orders get up to 3 PCW characters inked on bristol board. Whattadeal!
And if you have a book (Thank You for your support!), why not take a photo of yourself holding your copy and send it in (pcweenies@gmail.com)? Bob would be tickled pink and so would I!
It’s not every day a webcomic turns 13 years old (bah! Teenagers!) so the first 13 people to respond to this post answering the question “When did you first start reading the PC Weenies?” will receive a free autographed PC Weenies penciled sketch in the mail (mailed anywhere in the world).
Thank you for reading!

October 20, 2011 at 3:40 pmLet’s see. I think I actually discovered your comic via Twitter. You were having a Twitter conversation with another comic creator (I forget who) back in the days when Twitter showed you everyone’s conversations with everyone. I started following you and reading the comic. This must have been about a year and half ago, I think.

October 20, 2011 at 4:06 pmI started reading PCWeenies about a year and half ago. I was reading Superfogeys, and you were the guest artist. I remember Brock Heasely had good things to say about your comic, and recomended that people check it out. I’m glad I did, it’s been an interesting read, even if you and Bob are Apple customers. :P

October 20, 2011 at 4:25 pmI started reading it when you did a guest strip (or strips I honestly can’t remember how many) for PvP…I think. It was years about, but I am pretty confident it was PvP :p Sorry I can’t be certain, it was about 5 years ago, actually most likely more :p I think I started reading while I was still in high school which was over 7 years……. Wow. I just realized how long it might have been.

October 20, 2011 at 4:47 pmI started reading a number of years ago when BBSpot used to have the newest PCWeenies posted over there a number of years ago.
But I got you three more readers when I gave the guys in my wedding copies of the book :)

October 20, 2011 at 5:17 pmI started reading it when I discovered the world of webcomics 1.5 years ago. My first webcomics wasn’t this one (and I can’t recall its name; it had stopped for more than a year), but however I kept looking for other webcomics through links in webcomics I knew about and via Google as well. I am not sure how I reached pcweenies, but it sure is my favorite, among only 4 others I still follow, after having dismissed the bulk of other webcomics I found. However I sure remember pcweenies comics in support of the Egyptian revolution !! Thanks again for that =) !

October 20, 2011 at 6:08 pmI started reading back when you were on pcweenies.org, and doing single-panels… I don’t remember exactly when, but it was at least 5 or 6 years ago.
My how far we’ve come… but the comics are as funny, topical and approachable as ever!
Here’s to 13 great years!

October 20, 2011 at 9:06 pmI think I started reading The PC Weenies once in a while on BBSpot (or whatever that was) in the early 2000’s at work. But I didn’t start following PC Weenies closely till around 2008, when my wife and I finally got broadband at our apartment in India and it was possible to read comic sites, without five minutes per page…

October 21, 2011 at 8:45 amThere is no way I can remember when I started reading PC Weenies. It was too long ago.
I do remember what did bring me here originally. Long ago, I used to call various Apple II related BBSes around the US and remember seeing you on them also. You have a name that does stand out a bit. So when I saw that same name show up as an artist drawing a web comic, I had to take a look and I’ve been here ever since.

October 21, 2011 at 10:21 amI’ve been reading PC Weenies going on 3 years now. I discovered webcomics about 3 years ago and PC Weenies was the 6th Webcomic I added to my bookmarks. I actually discovered it from an ad on another webcomics site and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since. As an IT Professional it speaks to me with it’s humor that hits home. I know I haven’t commented on the strips as much as I should, but I can guarantee you that your webcomic is one that I share with my other friends IT or not on a regular basis.
Bob and the gang have come such a long ways since they started all those many years ago. When I first discovered the strip I went back thru the archives and came to know the cast and see not only how they have grown but how your art and it’s style have grown. You are a very talented person both artistically and in story telling. I look forward to what PC Weenies is up to when it can officially drive a car and when it goes off to college. :)
Congrats on 13 wonderful years and I look forward to what the future holds.

October 21, 2011 at 10:24 amSuper congrats on 13 years, Krishna!!!
I started reading PC Weenies occasionally late 2008 then became a dedicated reader in 2009. Making fun of technology while loving it totally rocks and PC Weenies is the best place to laugh about it all.

October 21, 2011 at 10:26 amWow, 13 years, congratulations and here’s to 13 more!
(but only if you want to. :D )
I can’t remember exactly when I started reading PCW, but it has to be a long time ago, in a province far, far away. I think it was 1999. EEEK!!! that means we are both fossils!
All the best and cheers to you on this day!

October 21, 2011 at 11:30 pmFunny thing is, those really aren’t the droids I’m looking for. I’m looking for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (a.k.a. the Nexus Prime). ;P
I probably stumbled across this site after the first NEWW; so, about 2-2.5 years ago.

October 24, 2011 at 3:43 amHello Krishna,
I first encountered your single panels some five to six years back, shifted through the complete archive – still miss it – and came back some years later to find Bob and Family on Three-Panel-Strips.
I love both and return to your site every weekday.
Keep it up.

October 24, 2011 at 5:50 pmCame across PCW many many mooons ago, back when it was in single-pane format. Although, I think it was not long before you changed to your story driven format, so that must put it around 2006, yes?
