I do daily drive Arch, but my no-questions-asked-no-answers-given distro recommendation is sort-of Ubuntu! O:) (Kubuntu LTS). Not happy about Ubuntu (and Fedora to an extent) pivoting towards snap/flatpak/immutable images, but still not angry enough to point-blank recommend Debian (which is far more usable/Desktop friendly than many of us give it credit for).
