Whooa… that is quite expensive when I convert to INR… Here I get the glossy edition Asterix and Tintin albums at roughly one-fifth the price. Spending upward of a thousand rupees on a comic album, even a high-quality print seems quite a lot…

I wish I could order, but this is way beyond my budget for a comic book… :(

I understand your concern. Bear in mind, the print run on Asterix and Tintin is much, much larger, Hari, than what I am doing. They can afford to charge what they do because they print millions of copies. I’m self-publishing, so there are going to be tradeoffs in cost.

I hope one day you can afford to mass publish! :)

On the whole, I think the cost is high because of the shipping. I think $20 is affordable in the US, but for shipping internationally that adds more than half the cost of the book, so it’s quite an additional burden.

Got my pre-order in. I hope I’m in the 1st 200 orders. So should I expect my copy by friday? ;) Seriously though do you have a tentative date for when you receive your order? I understand it’ll be a while even after that. Very pleased you have done this, I hope you sell out and have to order more. Best of luck to you.

    hi Barry:

Good question! I expect to receive my prototype sample copy in about a week. After I review the sample copy, I push the “print” button and the printer makes their copies.
It will take about 35 days (est.) from that point to receive the books. So, worst case I’m thinking mid-August is when I’ll start shipping orders out.
