October 14th, 1998 was a very significant milestone for the PC Weenies, in that it was the very first time I drew the character Bob Weiner on paper. One week later, the very first PC Weenies web strip debuted online. Up above you can see my first take on the character, which had a more realistic slant to it. The second take established the basic shape of the character (not the size). And in the very first unpublished strip (seen in the PC Weenies: Rebootus Maximus book) he was initially named Phil.
Bob’s come a long way since his birth. Next year, he’ll hit puberty. ;)
Happy Birthday, buddy!

Great seeing that first rough sketch. I think that tendency to try more realistic designs in the beginning may be a common thing for artists designing characters. I’m guessing about that. Is that what you think?
Thanks for sharing for 12 years, Krishna. Its a great trip!
Congratulations!!!
