I love it….Bob as usual completely oblivious of what is going on in the World.
As for Linux, it is great to keep older systems useful. I have a 6yr old laptop that is running Ubuntu 10.04LTS and it runs great. In fact I use that ol’ laptop when I am getting my chemo treatments….It does everything I need of it, even if it is doing my homework (it came with Open Office as part of the package) that day.
Yes I like Windows, but I can’t say Linux isn’t a decent OS..

November 26, 2011 at 6:36 amTried Linux, still wastes more time that DOS or Basic back in the day. And less works with it then DOS or Basic.

November 27, 2011 at 5:39 pmSounds like someone hasn’t used Linux since version 0.1 alpha…
Hey Van: Do yourself a favor and get a live CD or USB key of Ubuntu. It doesn’t require installation and runs great. Get with 2011.

Although if you count Android as a Linux variant it’s not really a small number anymore

So I suppose I half count as only of the 1% :p

November 30, 2011 at 4:34 pmThat is EXACTLY what we should have expected from Bob!
There are real reasons to use linux, and there are also real (and bogus) reasons to stay with Windows. What you do is up to you.
