The Only Constant…

Plug: Check out the Valentine Geek Sale to score “Rebootus Maximus” – the perfect gift for that special geek in your life!

It’s the day before Steve takes the stage. And there’s only one thing I can predict with 100% certainty: There will be complainers.

Disappointment is the only certainty when it comes to tech revelations. But let’s hope the disappointed camp is in the minority. I want this tablet to kick butt!

So, as we sit here on the day before launch, what’s your guess as to the name of this device?

My heart string’s pulling for “Newton”, but I get the feeling that the device might be called “iPad”, if the other rumor sites have their say. Share your guesses in the comments below.

I’m positive they will use something like IPad. To keep the consistency of their naming lately.

But all it matters is that Wacom feels threaten to this and drop their price! You want this as well :P

Let’s hope the price of Wacom’s offerings drops in light of tomorrow’s impending announcement. I sure could use a discounted price on a Cintiq!

Personally? I’m guessing ‘iSlate’ or ‘appleSlate’, assuming it really is a tablet computer. Ah well– we’ll see tomorrow!

Well, I suppose my idea of the subcutaneous iPod is out…

Don’t forget the other rumor is a possible deal with Verizon for the iPhone.

I vote for iSlate out of all the possible “i” names I have heard, and I am looking forward to seeing what apple could do with a tablet like device.

Oh, and for everyone clamoring to get in line to buy whatever apple does announce, remember wait six months to buy it. There is no need to pay good money to be a beta tester.

I think there are actually two constants. The complainers as you’ve mentioned, and the worshipers of all that is Steve and Apple.

I’m still wanting to play the devil’s advocate and guessing it won’t be a tablet at all, but something entirely different.

Tell me what you think!
