PC Weenies Guest-Star: Will Schmied!
Today’s special Sunday strip features guest-star Will Schmied, purchased as a surprise to commemorate their wedding anniversary by his wife Allison.
Happy anniversary Will and Allison!
As with all guest-star appearances, Allison sent me a few photos and some information about her husband. She wrote:
This is an anniversary present for my ubergeek husband, Will Schmied. He’s the senior system admin for St Jude. He’s also the most pro-Microsoft tech in all the land. He has his lone corner of pc’s in a house full of Macs. He’s also a huge XBox junkie. Between his Blackberry and Mass Effect, it’s a miracle his thumbs aren’t huge!
II felt compelled to tackle Will’s pro-MS stance, and sent over the rough sketch for Allison’s review. After approving the comic, I sent Allison the final ‘web’ version, to which she replied:
It’s wonderful! Thank you so much for doing such a great job with this. This is going to be a great anniversary present for him!
Allison and Will received a framed color print along with the original sketch. I’d like to thank them both for their support!
