Open Apple

No doubt you’ve heard about a certain company who’s selling PCs with Mac OS X Leopard running on them. When it was first announced, the Internet was abuzz with curiosity. Many insisted the company was a sham – but lo and behold, test units were ordered and subsequently received.

While the machine runs Leopard, installing it on your own is greatly frowned upon, for reasons cited in the comic above. How does Bob fare with his Mac clone? You’ll have to see when Bob’s arrives this Wednesday…

OK, dumb question here. I thot Mac OS wouldn’t run on PC’s even tho they’re Intel machines. Something about the manufacturing that causes Leopard to either run glacially slow or simply crash.

Corrections and explanations welcomed as I am curious.

Apparently a company named Psystar has started selling PCs that run OS X on them… it benches pretty good, but exhibits other weird behavior….
