Twitter is a social network where you post short 140-character bursts of information on what you are doing. It sounds rather silly, until you build a core community of people you follow and people who follow you. I’ve grown to enjoy Twitter quite a lot, for all the nuggets of good information that my fellow “tweeters” tweet. Twitter’s very much like a weird mash-up of a social network / instant messenger / RSS.
Who’s on Twitter? Practically every geek / tech celeb / web cartoonist / you name it. Even Star Trek actors like LeVar Burton, Wil Wheaton and Brent Spiner are on Twitter.

January 26, 2009 at 7:06 amI twitter as well Krish, (Maddpenciler0) funny post. The only thing about Twitter though is that you have to follow a big number to get a good number of followers, and then some of them aren’t really saying anything. Like I’d be interested in hearing that you or some one is having a great business meeting and are about to score a big contract deal, or here’s a great coffee shop location, BUT really,.. I just got home from work, or I’m stuck in traffic… heck at least tell “local tweeters” were not to go so they’re not stuck in that same traffic either. There is one pretty funny one though and it’s Cobra Commander. (for all those old school heads that remember G.I. Joe. Any who that’s my rant on Twitter. peace

January 27, 2009 at 10:27 pmI’m a geek, tech, whatever and I don’t twitter, facebook, myspace or anything else.
Of course, I’m 45 and have been working with computers since 1978, so my demographics probably don’t fit well with these “social” networking sites.

January 29, 2009 at 9:58 pmI am also a geek, nerd, tech-head, whatever you want to call me.
I don’t have a facebook, myspace, twitter or anything of the sort. Being a teenager in this age, it’s expected, but I just don’t see the point! (IRC is good enough for me)
