Today’s comic, by cartoonist Marc Lapierre (of Spooky Doofus fame) really struck a chord with me. I was introduced to the Angry Birds game in December, when my brother-in-law showed it to me on his iPhone. I’d heard a lot about the game before, but after playing Angry Birds for the first time, I knew I had to buy it.
I’m at the “Why Can’t I Get Past this Level?” stage – having only made it up to level 1-15. My 3 year old daughter Sonia has already taken to the game as well. She loves seeing the “piggies” get smashed.
Brilliant ‘toon, Marc!
Check out Marc’s webcomic, Spooky Doofus, and his incredibly cool classic monster sketches on his blog. I particularly love his rendition of Krampus, but he also draws a scary version of Grover that I really get a kick out of.
If you’ve played Angry Birds, can you relate to Bob in today’s strip? What level have you made it up to? Sound off in the comments below!

January 12, 2011 at 11:45 amI think this is a combination of my sons addiction and my response to the battery life when he hands me my phone as I prepare to leave for the office. He’s become totally addicted to this game. He’s only 4 mind you, and this is a perfect example why I don’t have a Wii, Xbox, Playstation, or Atari in the house…he has an addictive personality when it comes to video games. I guess I could delete it from the phone, but then what would I do during business meetings. :)
