I’m a computer geek, and it’s my job in the Air Force. I ran across your comic a while back but forgot the address… then this past week at work, reading on bbspot I ran across the link again. I think it’s awesome that you do the guest spots in the strip. As I said in the paypal order, I’m TDY this week, preparing for my deployment. I want the comic for my daughter’s first birthday, December 1st. I’m leaving a couple days before her birthday for Iraq.
I’m a linux guy, and use Ubuntu on most of my PCs. My wife talks to her parents on the webcam almost every day, mostly so they can see and keep up with their granddaughter growing up. My daughter’s name is Jillian, and she already loves the computer. Every chance she gets, she starts typing away on the keyboard. She’s going to be visiting her grandparents while I’m deployed, so I thought it’d be cool to have her help her grandparents with their desktop computer getting the webcam to work. Maybe have her install linux to fix skype so they can use their webcam. Or, have them trying to talk to me through the webcam while I’m deployed, and you can show me on the monitor after my 1 yr old daughter fixes their computer. I’m sending you pictures of all us.
Thanks,
Tim Russo
Happy Birthday, Jillian!
Tim will receive the original sketch of his commissioned ‘toon, and a PDF file of his daughter’s guest-star appearance. She will also appear on the vaunted Featured Guest-Star page in the next day or two…
Thanks for your support, Tim!
