Today’s comic was sponsored by reader Tim Kerigan, and guest-stars his mom Ann Kerigan. For his mom’s guest-star appearance, Tim wrote:
We own our own business (Millie’s Pierogi) and my mom’s our day to day general manager. We do a lot of business online, through mail-order so she’s been forced to learn the essentials of the Internet and such but in most computer things she’s still stuck in 1995. Still uses all the Win95 versions of Office, only exception is the new Outlook only for sending mass e-mails to our customers. For regular communication she still uses the old Outlook Express. Another example; we just got high speed Internet at the business over the summer. The only exception to this whole computer illiterateness (pretty sure I just made that word up) is her Access database. She took classes on how to build them and she’ll sprout code like crazy when she starts talking about it…but try to get her to upload a photo and she’s lost.
So hopefully that gives you something to work with along with the photos.
Thanks!
Tim Kerigan
Tim and his mom will receive the autographed sketch I drew to make today’s comic, along with an autographed color print commemorating Ann’s guest-star appearance.
