Chaos Personified

Bob’s first day at Footle continues… Panel 4 in this strip was a ton of fun to draw.

Update: I’ve included the “pencils” (digitally drawn) and inks for today’s strip so you can see the process. Owing to the lack of room in my little studio, I’m now creating everything on the computer. Click on the images to see the larger versions.

Well now we know why Footle needed a new technology specialist. Sounds like their old guy was slacking off!

Great strip. I can imagine drawing panel 4’s three faces (triple-take).
    I can’t make out what’s on the floor, though…
Reminds me of a nightmare one early morning a few years back, when my phone was flooded with cries of help from all the servers at work. The AC had failed to come back from a power dip the UPS didn’t handle too well. It was a local holiday like xmas here in Puerto Rico, and I found myself at the office data center, in an unbearable heat … luckily, nothing really died, but it was quite a scramble to get the temperature back to normal. Didn’t have the cable mess, but the heat was incredible. Actually, I miss those days, and the images it brings to mind are more pleasant than my dayjob these days! LOL
    Techie nostalgia.
You have to tell me what that little pill-looking thing on the floor is.
    Excellent strip!

I have seen my share of server rooms just like that. I have even let a few get nearly that bad before I got sick of looking at them and re-routed cables. Great strip once again.

Tell me what you think!
