I stayed up late to complete this… because I care! This comic was definitely inspired by the brou-ha-ha happening over Android’s log-your-every-move spyware.
Yes, it does. However, it does NOT log all the stuff the Android version does. On Apple’s version, you can see what’s logged by going to Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage. You can also turn it off, whereas you cannot on Android phones.
agree’d it has.. And its not in every android phone.. Motorola for one does not use CIQ or have something similar embedded in its Kernal. Also it doesn’t record keystrokes,(records hard touch) nor inspect or report anything from emails and sms that u receive or send. Along with some other things new outlets have been accusing it off doing. Not only is CIQ not on every android phone, its actually up to the carrier to have it embedded in the first place.. If you really want to be upset, switch carriers! Sigh.. its going to become another locationgate like apple had to deal with..
For future reference on more about iOS and its running on iOS..
Let me state again that CIQ only is installed if 1. Manufacturer agree’s on it, and 2. Carrier does. Anyway. this is just here for the other readers :D
Gday mate,
Was just about to post a rude comment about it being on iOS as well. :P Anyway, it’s the price we pay for technology. It’s all anonymised and aggregated, so I don’t think we have too much to worry about. It’s really just another fad for the conspiracy theorists to get caught up on!
Also, I thought this strip was particularly true in this day and age, what with companies and individuals throwing cease & desists at each other!
