An Exercise in Frustration

I’m exploring a new technique with drawing today’s comic. Namely, I’m drawing each panel on a separate file (without the template) and inserting the drawings into the panel. The result: My drawings can be more loose and expressive, and I’m able to get better line variation. So I’ll go this route from now on. Working inside a panel all these years has always felt a bit confining. This new approach gives me a bit more freedom, and I like that.

The Mentor Experiment application period is over. I was pleasantly surprised with the tremendous level of interest in my mentorship offering. Rest assured I’ll be going through every entry this weekend and announce my apprentices right here on the blog on Monday.

In other news, I’ve added a “Donate” button underneath each comic. If the PC Weenies are a daily visit and you want to show your support, there’s no better way than giving a donation. Just donate whatever you think its worth. Your donations will help me get to the Small Press Expo, held in Bethesda, MD.

Thanks again for your support!
