Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
The holidays are once again upon us. In my mind, Thanksgiving isn’t about turkey, pumpkin pie, or Black Friday deals. For me, Thanksgiving is really about expressing gratitude. Last year at this time, I remember boarding a plane to visit my dad in the hospital. My wife and daughter would be at home. It was unlike any Thanksgiving I’d experienced so far.
The four days spent in the hospital with my mom and dad really gave me some perspective on life – and the things I am most thankful for.
First and foremost, I am thankful that my dad is recovering nicely at home, after his recent surgery. I am incredibly thankful for the support my mom and dad have given me over the years. I am also thankful for a supportive and loving wife and a smart and affectionate daughter.
I’m thankful that I have a job that I love and that I get to spend a good chunk of my time doing the things I love the most (drawing, designing, and making comics).
I consider myself to be very fortunate: I get to share my work with readers from around the world. Simply put, I couldn’t do this comic without your support. So, if you’ve read and shared the comic, wrote a comment on the blog, or ordered books or merch from my store, each and every one of you have played an important role in supporting my work. I am grateful and humbly appreciative of your patronage.
You are awesome.
Thank you for your support. Be safe and enjoy the holidays.
