My Next Big Thing

The Next Big Thing is a global blog tour, started in Australia, to showcase authors and illustrators and their current work. I was tagged by my good pal Kevin Cross! This is going up a day late, but better late than never, right?

What is the working title of your next book?

PC Weenies Volume 2: It Tastes Better Thank Ketchup (delayed by a few years, but I hope to bring it to print in the next year or so.) This is the working cover, but it will probably change.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

The second PC Weenies book is a follow-up to the wildly successful PC Weenies Volume 1: Rebootus Maximus.

What genre does your book fall?

Geek culture and nerd humor.

What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?

That’s a toughie. I’ll have to leave that to my readers – but an animated version of PCW would be rad!

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Tech ‘toons for tech enthusiasts, and the people who have to put up with them.

Who is publishing your book?

I’ll be self-publishing it – just like I did with volume 1.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?

I’m embarrassed to write this, but the book is still in the planning / draft stages. At this point, I’ve fallen massively behind with other projects over the past few years, causing PCW Book 2 to be on the perpetual back-burner.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I tend to avoid comparisons, but maybe my readers can assist.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

My daughter Sonia.

What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?

In addition to skewering technology left and right, with some adventure tossed in for good measure, there will be lots of bonus content tucked away within the pages of Book 2.
