A Bob by Any Other Name…

This week, Verizon recently caught an employee for outsourcing his work to a Chinese firm for a fraction of this salary. He would send his work off to China and spend the bulk of his day surfing Reddit, eBay, Facebook and LinkedIn. Oh, and he also watched cat videos. And did I mention that his performance reviews were always stellar?

And the clincher is the name he used for his alias: “Bob”

I’d like to think he’s a PC Weenies fan.

Ha! Life imitating art. You have to admit “Bob” was definitely thinking and should be rewarded somehow, just not in front of the others we don’t want to start a trend. :)

Yeah, why not promote him? He obviously is being used for jobs that are too easy, or not taking use of his full talents. If he can outsource, it’s management’s fault, not his. He is doing well.

I wonder how hard that is to do without getting caught… Or maybe the fact that I sit next to my supervisor, with no cubicle wall in between, would interfere with that plan…

If there’d been any way for him to do this without giving the contract devs his login credentials, this could really have worked well for him.

The irony levels on this are of EPIC proportions! I have to hand it to that Dude! I find what he did to be brilliant in a Tyler Durden kind of way.

They (Corporations) can outsource whatever they want with impunity. But an individual can’t. IT’S THE SAME THING! Thank you Corporate Global Douchebags!

I give you the double flip off salute.
