Suspicious Minds

Today’s comic was highly influenced by a recent Slashdot post citing a German article on the proclivity of mass murder based on whether or not someone is on Facebook.

The article cites the murderers from Aurora and Norway, respectively, as evidence to support its thesis.

Nonsense, I say. By the basis of their defense, humans kill other humans, so therefore all human beings are suspicious. Ridiculous, no?

Based on that, let’s do some math:

The world population of Earth recently went over 7 billion. Facebook has almost 1 billion Earth based users. Which leaves more than 6 billion mass murderers.

Is your dad a mass murderer? Your kid? His friend across the street? We need answers!

I don’t have a Facebook account – should my friends be worried?
Oh, I forgot, I don’t have any friends….not anymore, not after that camping trip in the woods around Easter time….
