Four years ago today, I made the decision to switch to multi-panel comics.
Looking back, 2011 has been another slow but steady year for the PCW. Book sales were solid (both digital and print editions), as was my first foray into selling PC Weenies poster prints (via eBay auction) – thanks to a very supportive readership. (I’m also now available for custom PC Weenies print commissions!)
2012 promises to be even bigger and better for the strip. There are some notable loose ends that will be resolved (I didn’t forget them) and more adventures with Bob at Footle. I’ve been on the fence with continuing storylines because there are times where I want to interject a topical toon in between. There’s no easy way to do it, without confusing new readers – which is why I’ve held back from long form story-telling.
2012 is the year that I plan to finally finish Book 2. The reason for the delay? I’ll be honest – it’s been tough to find time to write new stories outside of my 3-strips per week schedule. I could release the book as a collection of existing strips or I can continue to wait until I have at least one new story to include. I’m torn as to the route I should take…
Anyway, thanks for reading and supporting The PC Weenies. Tell your friends about the strip. Good word of mouth goes a long way.
Let’s press forth and kick some ass in 2012!
