Google+ kicked off a few days back and everybody wants to be a part of it. I can best categorize it as Facebook for Geeks. It’s clean. It’s uncluttered, and I can put people into imaginary boxes (or rather, circles) and control what information gets fed to my network of friends and acquaintances.
If you’re new to Google+, I’ve created a handy Starter Pack that you can use to start building your “Circle of Trust”. Have fun!

July 4, 2011 at 10:31 pmI hate to be that guy, but do you have any invites left? Because I’d love one.

July 5, 2011 at 6:26 amlol, I knew I should have made another Circle. ;)
Seriously though, I believe Google+ is now open to the public, so everyone should have access to it now.

July 5, 2011 at 10:17 amNo, it’s not, sadly, believe me, as a professional geek I’ve been watching it like a hawk. It’s still invite-only, as seen here: https://plus.google.com/up/start/?sw=1 Makes me a very sad kitty. :( It’s so much prettier than FB.

July 5, 2011 at 10:21 amActually, that screen might not look the same for you. For most people though, it just says:
Google+ is in limited Field Trial
Right now, we’re testing with a small number of people, but it won’t be long before the Google+ project is ready for everyone. Leave us your email address and we’ll make sure you’re the first to know when we’re ready to invite more people.

Already invited? We’ve temporarily exceeded our capacity. Please try again soon.

September 14, 2011 at 7:18 amI do not feel the ‘need’ to be plugged in all the time, and consider my life to be a bit boring. However, at least I have not decided to inflict the bore on everyone else on the planet, UNLIKE THOSE WHO MUST HAVE MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, AND GOOGLE+ accounts. What are they trying to do, validate their existence by looking for approval from the masses?
