Hearing Don Mcallister, from ScreenCasts Online, on this week’s Macbreak Weekly podcast inspired today’s comic. As stated on the show (Episode 237: Who’s a Good Dog?), Don mentioned that he’s planning on flying from the U.K. to the U.S. to pick up an iPad2. I let my mind wander from that point on to arrive at the ‘toon you see before you.
Are you camping out for an iPad2 on launch day? Or are you taking a more ambivalent stance towards Apple’s impending launch? Talk to me – share your thoughts on the ‘toon and all this iPad2 hype in the comments below.
(And if you like today’s toon, please Tweet it, Stumble It, or share it freely on any of your favorite social networking sites.) The new “Share this Toon on Twitter” button below each comic is 100% operational. :)

March 12, 2011 at 6:38 amI won’t be getting one in the near future. I just upgrades from an iPhone 3G to a 4 and so that’s enough Apple tech for me, and my wallet. If I had the cash to spend I may get one, but to be honest I’d rather spend the cash on a good Netbook or Laptop. I don’t see the point in owning an iPhone AND iPad.

March 12, 2011 at 10:52 pmI walked past two Apple Stores today in Manhattan, one on 14th Street and one on 5th Avenue (that’s the one with the gigantic glass cube at street level and the store underground) and both were absolutely packed. The 14th Street one was visible more packed than usual, that I could see from the windows. Out on the streets near the stores lots and lots of people were talking about the iPad 2 in what snatches of conversation I could hear in passing…
I’m tempted to get one, but need to get my finances in order with moving to a new apartment in a couple of weeks. I’m curious what more creative developers will come up with in terms of apps that make use of the new features of the iPad.
