Your backgrounds are getting to be more involved. Good work.
As far as the storyline is concerned, I personally think that it’s better to stick to one-offs on the whole. While these storylines are a nice occasional drift, I think the main focus of PCW is better with the one-offs.
While no doubt, Oxley is frustrated at this point in time over the servers. There’s the issues of liability and legal ramifications of firing. In today’s age Bob & Orville could’nt be fired without due-cause if they have been on their jobs longer then 3 months. Due-Cause needs to be justified with prior incidents and further justification then the current. Also, if the company needs to have procedures installed for situations where the admins couldnt be available to watch the servers, and I doubt Orville and Bob just left the building without notifying the secretary or front desk.

They will spend the next year interviewing for jobs that are not yet funded before finally landing a contract position that requires a 3 hour daily commute..
Oxley will quickly realize that he needs Bob and Oreville to restore the company’s backups. (Oreville uses some nasty encryption/compression, you see…). They use that leverage to get their jobs back, at severely reduced pay, of course.
After their new contracts have been signed, they realize the backups were also incinerated!

Take 2:
After their new contracts have been signed, they realize that Oxley was really the one with the XBox!
—
Take 3:
After their new contracts have been signed, they realize it was all a reality TV show, called YOU’RE FIRED!
—
Take 4:
After their new contracts have been signed, Oxley has a heart attack, leaving Bob and Oreville in charge of the company!

Take 5:
After their new contracts have been signed, …. oh… you get the idea by now…

Hari – thanks for the feedback. While I understand your ideas that PCW should be one-offs – it’s really difficult to develop characters that way…
