Auto Bots

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl, but I did happen to catch the Chevy Cruze commercial featuring the car that checks your Facebook status for you.

Between you and me, this has to be the worst idea I’ve seen. But I guess I’m not the target audience. Today’s toon was a knee-jerk reaction to that commercial. Enjoy!

Inks and colors to happen later tonight.

    They have the order wrong!
First, they need to have a car that drives itself, safely, THEN you can put all the other distractions that would otherwise increase your chances of an accident.
    Excellent strip, Krishna!

Of course it is a terrible idea. It’s from GM.

And it is a very good knee-jerk reaction.

Yeah, I agree this is a horrible idea. When I saw the commercial I actually had to back up the DVR to make sure I heard what they were saying right. This is insane.

Shouldn’t the punchline based off the stop sign in the rear view mirror be, “You just ran a stop sign” versus “red light”?

Well I work for GM and I think that this is about as dumb as you can get for an idea to put into a vehicle…..Though it is one step above the plans that Toyota and Ford have talked about putting a browser into the LCD screen that they use for GPS map functions.

Tell me what you think!
