I really don’t have an explanation as to why my site keeps going down so frequently (it usually happens twice a month). The forced downtime almost every week has been incredibly frustrating, and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. (Perhaps my host is connected to the Footle servers…)

September 20, 2010 at 9:36 amI think web hosting has become such a commodity, that it’s nearly impossible to deliver good service for the low prices customers demand. I can remember the time you had to send in a copy of a document from the chamber of commerce, proving you are a business, and pay at least 80 dollars per month. They had business hours phone support (Mo-Fr 9 am – 5 pm) with local (not outsourced) tech support.
It seems you get what you pay for.

September 20, 2010 at 5:24 pmHosting is a commodity – I remember the days of paying $35/ month for hosting once upon a time. With such thin margins, it’s difficult to choose a good provider. Chris, are you happy with Nexcess?
