A few site-related news bits I wanted to share…
1) pcweenies.org now redirects to pcweenies.com – the goal here is consolidate all traffic to one source. pcweenies.org will lay dormant until I decide to do something with it…
2) I’ve sent e-mails to various sites that have graciously linked to The PC Weenies, to update their links to pcweenies.com
3) The Magic Square is still available – if you’d like to place a PCW self-updating badge on your website.
To add a PCW badge to your website, simply right-click on the image above to copy its location, then add a link back to pcweenies.com
4) Effective today, all PC Weenies ‘toons will exclusively be carried on pcweenies.com only – I’ve discontinued comic-mirroring on other websites because it doesn’t really bring any more visitors to the site. If you see my comics mirrored on another site, please let me know.
5) (Unrelated) New Uncubed tomorrow.

July 28, 2008 at 9:51 pmI am not so sure that comic mirroring is such a bad thing. I would never have discovered your comic but for BBSpot.com.
I personally think mirroring on third party sites is a good idea to draw readers from unlikely sources.
On the other hand, I can understand your need for exclusive publication on this blog.

July 28, 2008 at 10:01 pmMirroring offers some benefits, true. But my goal is to raise traffic – and mirroring just wasn’t doing that. Using BBspot as an example, accounted for less than 1% of the traffic this site received. On the other hand, social networks have done wonders for bringing traffic in from unlikely sources. Why give that potential traffic up to another site?
