It’s Independence weekend, and I wanted to run a few custom comics I drew for my site sponsor, Other World Computing, in case you haven’t seen them. What you may not have seen are the under-drawings (process work) for both strips, which are presented below:
I was given carte-blanche to do what I wanted with the OWC Mascot, Globeman, and one of my first tasks (outside of giving him eyes and a mouth) was to give him some personality and attitude. I’d like to thank OWC for being a sponsor for PC Weenies, and I’d like to thank my readers for supporting my site by visiting the OWC site.
I’ve used OWC for many years. Their customer service service is excellent as is their selection of quality computer add-ons (memory, hard drives, enclosures, etc). Give ’em a whirl when you’re shopping around, and be sure to tell ’em Bob sent ya!

July 5, 2010 at 1:21 amGreat comics, but if they’re used as actual advertising for OWC, might there not be an issue of false advertising if none of the staff in the store at a given moment actually speak Klingon?
I mean, obviously it’s a joke, but someone might try to claim false advertising, so you might want to add a disclaimer there somewhere.

July 5, 2010 at 9:22 amActually, these comics were posted on the macsales.com blog – not used in any advertising literature. It’s all tongue in cheek. :)
