Earlier this week, I ordered two 2 GB memory cards for my Mac Pro from OWC. The new RAM arrived this morning. I currently run a machine with 6GB of RAM, but I needed an additional 4GB because of all the memory intensive applications I have open simultaneously.
The RAM install will happen tomorrow. The geek in me is looking forward to it.

Update: Running 10GB and lovin’ it! The RAM upgrade was ridiculously simple.

February 5, 2010 at 12:03 amThis reminds me that I need to get some more RAM. I have just a simple 24″ iMac with 2GB of RAM. I need to at least double it. I’ve only recently started to notice my computer slowing down a bit.

February 5, 2010 at 5:31 amHaving more than 2GB will open up performance on your iMac, Chris. RAM prices in general are up from last year due to companies cutting back on supply. It’s best to shop around. Good luck!

February 5, 2010 at 6:45 amSweet molasses man! 10GB!? What kind of memory-intensive applications are you running!?
… Flash Player? … oh. Ok. Carry on.
(Just a joke :P … but I bet it is an Adobe app!)

February 5, 2010 at 9:29 amI can’t believe RAM prices are up from last year. When does something in technology ever do that?
