I had a new PCW ‘toon ready to go, but I just came back from seeing the new Indiana Jones movie – and, honestly, I can’t (and won’t) release the strip I had originally planned on running, in good conscious.
The movie, in my opinion, was the worst film I’ve ever seen. It was garbage, and destroyed all my hopes for what would have been a good resolution to the series. The plot was slow, boring, and honestly – I just couldn’t get into the film.
This probably won’t stop millions of people from seeing the film anyway, but Lucas and Spielberg have really disappointed me.
I’m not going to include any spoilers, but if you loved the Indiana Jones trilogy, don’t waste your money.
In the meantime, enjoy these classic PCW toons.

May 23, 2008 at 10:52 amOuch, I’m sorry to hear Indy is such a disappointment. I finally watched Narnia last night because all the lines shifted to Indy and now I pitty those poor saps for waiting in line for 3 hours to be the first in the theatre to get quality seats. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Indy trilogy and still want to see the current one however I think I may wait for the dvd. Besides there are so many great movies coming out this summer and we all know we will see Batman.

May 23, 2008 at 1:47 pmI’m going to prepare a full review of the film for Sunday’s blog, as I’m sure many people still haven’t seen it yet. The magic is definitely gone from Indy IV; and I really wish it weren’t so…

May 24, 2008 at 12:14 ami found the movie entertaining. not up to the other indy films, but a worthwhile time. it had it’s moments, both good and extreme cheese, but overall i liked it. i do say that some plot points that seemed pointlessly put in once the movie was over and that always bothers me, but i say good movie, just not good indy movie. good for a younger generation i guess.
