I’m a fan of mechanical pencils over regular pencils. Better points, no sharpening, looks better.

I’m not an artist, but I’m a student and do a lot of software design for my degree. I find the best way to get started is with a sheet of paper, and a pencil. I was hit by a car the other week (nothing broken), and when I came back to University I put my hand in my jacket to get out my pencil to draw some class diagrams. Unfortunately my pens and pencils had come off worse then I had, and where smashed to bits. So now I had to go out and buy a new pencil, and I bought the Pentel Rolly. It’s cheap, but it’s bright green, and draws really well.

Also have you seen the review for the QuickerClicker? It’s not all that favourable, but I suppose it comes down to personal preference.

I totally agree with the addition of the rubberized grip. I love the sleeker original design. I’ve been buying these since the 8th grade (and before that I was using the Pentel slimstick pencil.) I love the quicker clickers, especially the 0.9 lead version, in particular the solid red ones from the mid 90s.

Tell me what you think!
