… I enjoy digitally painting. Painting is something I’ve only seriously taken up in the past few years. To be honest, it terrified me when I first started. That is, until I figured out that the key to a good painting is, first and foremost, establishing a strong composition. From there, it’s about starting with shapes and understanding how they are affected by light and shadow. I almost always start a digital painting by establishing a focal point. Then I place items within the composition to create depth and reinforce the focal point. My painting workflow goes from general (shapes, composition, depth) to specific (details, textures, lighting enhancements).
Oh. And I also like drawing dinosaurs. These are a few that I drew after a visit to the library with my daughter Sonia. (She’s really into “how to draw” books.)
If you enjoyed what you saw, I invite you to explore more of my work via my online portfolio. I’m also on Instagram under the handle krishnadraws, where you can see works in progress and pieces I’ve recently completed. If you want high resolution versions of my paintings, they can be yours by supporting me at the $3/month level on Patreon.
As always, thank you for your support!

March 22, 2017 at 10:24 amNice paintings. Really I am also into digital paintings. My brother recently bought me a XP-Pen Artist 10 S tablet and it is superb to work with. 10″ screen is sufficient for my needs. I really enjoy drawing directly on screen and the ease of workflow you get with them.
