Review: InteVision Wedge Pillow

Sciatic and lower back pain can be debilitating. I’ve suffered from both for almost nine months. I’m on the mend now – thanks in large part to regular visits to my chiropractor and my InteVision Ortho Bed Wedge Pillow.

The InteVision Ortho pillow is 8″ x 21″ x 24″ and is made with a two layered combination of memory foam and base foam. It was designed to improve circulation and alleviate pressure on the spinal chord, allowing the back to relax (thereby mitigating back pain).

I’ve been using the InteVision Ortho pillow for two months now as part of my therapy. I use it on my bed, placing wedge portion of the InteVision pillow towards the base of my spine. This position will naturally cause the thighs to elevate, removing pressure on my lower back. My feet hang over the pillow.

During the night, I like to sleep on my side. In this position, I can comfortably wrap my legs around the pillow, minimizing my sciatic nerve pain. In my experience, the foam is firm enough to support my feet without sagging. The pillow is breathable, so it does not cause me to sweat when I’m using it. The build quality is excellent. It comes with a pillow case which is removable and washable.

The results of using this pillow have been nothing short of spectacular. Day by day, my pain is coming down and I feel more comfortable when sitting or moving around. The InteVision Ortho Wedge Pillow was the best $35 I spent.
