While I regularly publish and update PC Weenies, my illustration work leans heavily toward the realm of comic books.
Below is a glimpse into the process of how I create a piece.
I’m a fan of shows like David Freiberger and Mike Finnegan’s Roadkill, and love the whole idea of “ratrods” (souping up an old car but keeping its original patina).
Initially, I start with a rough sketch – in this case, it was the Torino. The T-Rex was added to give the piece some energy and fun. Click on the images below for more detail.
From there, I proceed over to inking.
With a splash of color, I arrive at the final illustration.
I work 100% digital these days, using programs like Manga Studio and Photoshop to create my work. I draw on a Yiynova MSP19U Tablet Monitor. A sketch like the one above takes me about 2 hours to complete. I’m actively taking on commissions to help fund my new PC build, so if you fancy a drawing like the one above, please get in touch.
