Review: Cordies
Every now and then a product comes along that fits my needs so perfectly, it’s difficult to imagine how I could have lived without it. If you have many cables attached to your laptop, they probably fall down to the floor when you detach them from your computer. It’s a small, but annoying problem. Over time, it adds up.
Cordies, which sells for $5.00, does one thing and one thing well: it holds cables securely on a surface so you can quickly attach and detach them as needed. I needed this thing 20 years ago, but I’m not going to quibble since I have one now.
Cordies comes in a small box, and is available in charcoal, black, gray, pink, teal and white. It’s weighted, which keeps it secure on the desk and includes five rubber grips with four slots to populate your cables in. Cordies solves a huge cable management problem in my world: With it, my cables are within easy reach to connect to my Macbook Pro.
Here’s the Cordie in action. It holds the cables securely and won’t let cables slip. I’ve tested it with a variety of cables, including MagSafe power, DVI to mini port, 1/8″ stereo jack and USB cables.

Cordies is made of rubber, so it won’t scratch your tabletop surface.
I love this thing for how simple and effective it is. If you regularly attach and detach cables from your laptop, and you’re tired of fumbling for cables that fall out of reach in the process – you need your own Cordies. The price is right and the quality is top notch. You’ll save time each time you unplug and replug your cables and best of all, your back will thank you.
