Review: ShaveMob Shaving Cream

It’s not every day when a company sends along a non-tech product for me to review, but that’s exactly what happened about a month ago when I was approached by the folks at ShaveMob to evaluate their new, soon-to-be-released Men’s Tea Tree Shaving Cream product. It’s impossible for me to review a product like this by using it only once or twice. I have to live with the product for at least a few weeks.

And that’s exactly what I did.

For about a month now, I’ve been using the ShaveMob Tea Tree Shaving Cream exclusively, using the product twice a week in conjunction with my ShaveMob razor blades.

The shaving cream comes in a tube, which holds 3.4 ounces. The main ingredients in the ShaveMob shaving cream include aloe vera (Aloe Baradensis), peppermint oil (Menthe Piperita), and tea tree oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia). There are no colors or dyes present.

The recommended routine for using any type of shaving cream is to first wet your face with warm water to soften the skin. For this reason, I usually shave after showering.

After wetting my skin, I squeezed out a handful of the ShaveMob Tea Tree shaving cream and applied it in a circular fashion to my face. Application of the ShaveMob shaving cream was smooth, without excessive lathering. You can use this product with or without a shaving brush. Aroma-wise, the tea tree scent was pleasant without being overpowering.

Shaving with the ShaveMob Tea Tree shaving cream was a pleasant experience. The razor blade glides with ease when shaving with ShaveMob’s product, giving me a clean shave while leaving my skin soft and smooth.

Many conventional shaving creams that I’ve used in the past have left me with dry skin or irritation. Not so with ShaveMob’s Tea Tree shaving cream. Even after several hours, my skin still feels soft and supple, just as it did immediately after my shave.

All in all, I feel that ShaveMob has created a fantastic new product with their Tea Tree shaving cream. Testing it made me realize how bad my Gillette Fusion shaving cream really was. For more info on availability and pricing, visit ShaveMob.
