PC Weenies celebrates its 17th anniversary as an online comic on October 21st, 2015. An auspicious date, as it also happens to be the same date Marty McFly traveled to in the film Back to the Future II. Coincidence? Perhaps. I really didn’t plan it that way…
It’s another anniversary for the cast and crew of PC Weenies and I really don’t know what to say that I haven’t already said before. I’ve created approximately 2800 PC Weenies comics since October 1998. When I first started the comic, I had very little knowledge of Photoshop. I didn’t really know much about making comics either. But I persisted, and along the way I’ve learned a lot. To give you, dear reader, some perspective, I’ve included a smattering of old and crusty PC Weenies comics from years gone by. See for yourself what the PC Weenies comics looked like back then…
Below are seventeen assorted PC Weenies comics from its early years. I chose these because they provide a snapshot of where I was as a cartoonist. Maybe this will encourage someone out there who is keen to dip their toes into the realm of cartooning. Maybe the act of sharing these comics will bring back memories. Who knows?
Below is the first ever PC Weenies comic published online.
If you enjoy PC Weenies, I hope you’ll share the comic and tell all your friends. I say this a lot, only because more readership means more comics. If you feel inclined, you can support my efforts with a small monthly pledge via Patreon. Or, if you’d prefer, swing by the PC Weenies store and grab yourself a treat. You could pre-order your very own Made in the U.S.A. Bob Weiner plushie, maybe?
Thank you for reading, posting, and sharing the PC Weenies. It means a lot to know that you care about what I do.
