The fine folks at Comic Chameleon are launching an Android version of their app today and it’s kind of a big deal.

What is Comic Chameleon, you ask?

It’s a mobile app (for iOS and Android), built by a webcomics artist, for webcomic artists, that lets you conveniently read all your favorite webcomics in one spot. Currently there are 136 amazing webcomics on the service, including PC Weenies (natch!).

With Comic Chameleon, you can read your favorite comics panel-by-panel and also access a comic strip’s archive – all within one app. Unlike other readers, Comic Chameleon has approached all creators for their permission. Developers Bernie Hou (Alien Loves Predator) and Jason Gresh have put in place an ad revenue model where creators can earn money via Comic Chameleon. So, in short, when you read your favorite comics on Comic Chameleon, you’re supporting your favorite creators. And, it’s free. Pretty cool, huh?
