Have you ever wished you could hang out with Bob? Or bring him with you to the office? Or maybe, just maybe, take him home to cuddle? Well, true believer, you are not alone. Your wish is about to come true.
But first, a little background…
I’ve always believed in Bob as a character. Making Bob Weiner as a plush toy has been high on my “bucket list”. I knew it would eventually happen, but I also knew that I wanted to do it right. As with all ambitious ideas, life got in the way, and the idea sat on the back-burner. For years.
Today, I’m pleased to announce that the Bob Weiner plush toy is no longer a pipe dream, but a reality. To bring Bob to life, I am teaming up with Ellen Ault, plush toy designer extraordinaire. Ellen and I have been friends for many years, and I have seen (and purchased) her work firsthand. Suffice to say, she does fantastic work.
Ellen has made a name for herself and her designs both online and through the convention circuit. Her plushes and quilts have been featured in STUFFED Magazine, and she has had her work exhibited in galleries across the United States. This is our first collaboration together and I am incredibly excited to have Ellen onboard. Here’s a picture of Ellen in her studio, with her daughter Zoe.
The Bob plushie measures 12″ tall and 10″ high. He’s made of fleece and felt and stuffed with a polyester fiber fill. Or, as my 7-year old daughter Sonia says: “He’s full of cuddles.” Each Bob Weiner plush order will be personally handcrafted by Ellen in her Tampa Bay studio.
I took some photos so you can see Bob in all his glory.
And here’s a photo of Bob against some of my computing gear, to get a better sense of scale.
Bob plushies are available for pre-order starting today, for $30 plus shipping. As a bonus, each order will include a hand drawn, one-of-a-kind PC Weenies sketch. Since each Bob Weiner plushie is made to order, please allow two to three weeks for Ellen to make yours. When your Bob is ready to ship, you will be notified via email.
Orders are crafted on a first-come, first-served basis.
As always, thank you for your support!
