There are two types of websites out there: Those that are crammed full of ads and social media promotion tools, and those that eschew glitz for substance, with a minimal but clean look and feel. I’ve made a determination to focus on the latter. To that end, I’ve removed nearly all social sharing buttons from this website, save for the ones that appear when you hover over a particular comic or image.
Currently, I make do with only one Google ad, which is only visible on the sidebar accompanying each blog post. It’s my goal to eventually get rid of Google ads all together, with an occasional sponsor post from quality companies whose goals and values align with my own.
In addition to making comics, I enjoy writing about technology and art. I want to keep PC Weenies with that focus, without all the clutter.
Thank you for reading and thank you for your continued support.

October 14, 2014 at 10:10 pmThank you.
In the last few months, the amount of social sharing content on the site had become quite unbearable. The comic itself would become partially covered by icons as I was reading on my iPad, and I would frequently be interrupted by the “Subscribe to the Newsletter” dialog, which never seems to remember that I’d dismissed it.
I decided not to say anything, though, as I understand that a lot of a site’s traffic can come from people sharing links on social networks, and asking you to tone it down might also mean cutting off an important part of PC Weenies audience.
I’m glad to see that wasn’t the case, though, and the site benefits a lot. It’s a much more pleasant reading experience!
