In the “I’d love to, but I can’t” department.
Flash Player (see image above) does not detect any mouse clicks, so I’m hopelessly staring at a worthless dialog box. I’m running the latest Lion and I’ve installed the latest Flash Player (version 11). Maybe I’m missing something…
Anyone who can successfully help me troubleshoot the problem will get a PCW sketch mailed to their doorstep.
Help?

March 23, 2012 at 5:19 pmThat’s a known bug with Flash 10.0 and 11.0. If you update to 11.1 you should be ok. Another option is right clicking the flash object and accesing the global Flash configuration settings. You can disable the permission dialog there. Good luck!

March 24, 2012 at 3:22 pmAnother option is to not use a flash-based recording service. There are lots of services that allow you to install an app to manage the recording.
There are several (Livestream and uStream come to mind) that allow you to flip between your webcam and your desktops’s screen, allowing you to aim a camera at yourself while doing art on the computer and showing us both!

March 24, 2012 at 3:24 pmThanks, Michael. I’ll have to try LiveStream. UStream is a no-start for me, due to an issue where the banned me permanently.

March 28, 2012 at 11:15 pmI found the solution to my Flash Player woes. This link provided me with a work-around. I’ve tested it and it appears to work: http://www.taketheinterview.com/blog/trouble-clicking-allow-on-adobe-flash-player-with-mac-os-x-lion/
Good news, I’ll start video streaming again soon!
