As the screenshot above confirms, I keep my hard drive icons mounted on mine – but all files and folders are neatly filed away.

April 6, 2011 at 10:30 pmI have 0 on my desktop. I try and use my desktop like my email inbox. If there is something there, it means I have to deal with it in some way. It’s a reminder to me that I have to recode something or pick up something at the store. It has worked quite effectively so far.

April 7, 2011 at 3:40 amThe only time I have an icon on my desktop is if I have something that I NEED to remember and know I’ll forget if I put it somewhere else. Otherwise nothing on my desktop. Ever.
Oh, and where oh were did you get that wallpaper? It’s awesome!

April 7, 2011 at 8:57 amI use bumptop so I have 20 Icons/Groups showing but actual Icons if I used my real desktop is 200. Everything is organised in a specific way for my desktop, I have my Server Management wall (which has Virtualbox, Notepad++, PuTTY, MySQL Admin, FileZilla, CodeBlocks, WinSCP and GoToAssist), My general icons wall (has Firefox, Google Chrome, Bumptop Note/Todo list, Altbinz, Spotify) :D
