Late last week, I had the pleasure of talking with Tom Racine, host of the legendary Tall Tale Radio podcast. I was a bit nervous (and that may have come through at the beginning of the interview) because, quite rightly, Tom has interviewed legends within the comics world. (And I’m just this guy, you know…) :)
But Tom’s a pro, not only because he makes his guests feel at ease through his conversational approach, but because of the thought provoking questions he asks.
Our interview touches upon the comics (of course), but then moves along to talking about new webcomic-centric conventions (Intervention and the UP! Fair). We also nerd out about Power Man and Iron Fist, the world of animation, cultural pressures I faced as a youngster and my background as an engineer and (now) teacher.
Needless to say, I had a great time talking with Tom. Give the episode a listen. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

September 6, 2010 at 12:24 pmFirst off, nice “Hitchhiker’s Guide” reference, man. :) Secondly, I was nervous to talk to you, so we’re even! The best thing about doing this is that I get to talk to artists…from legends to newbies…but they’re often so much the same people just at different stages of their careers. You’re huge in the webcomics world…it was an honor to talk to you!
