YAPCWB (Yet Another PC Weenies Book)? State of the Union

It’s been almost 11 months since “Rebootus Maximus” (aka PC Weenies: Book 1) first arrived on the scene. “Rebootus” marked the very first print edition of The PC Weenies. It was a grueling project – over 9 years in the making.

I was very pleased with the book sales last year, particularly the strong level of pre-order interest (Thanks!). The “Beardus Maximus” promotion went over really well too. I’m still waiting for more reader submitted photos to add to the ever-growing Reader Gallery…

As always, I’m incredibly thankful to all the generous readers who have thus far shown their support of the strip by buying a copy of my book. It really means a lot to me to know that readers from around the world love the adventures of Bob, Pam, Milton, and Grampa. (If you’d like to support the comic, why not buy a book?)

This year, sales of my book have been noticeably slower, but I’ve also not done much in the way of promotion. In an effort to change that, I’m planning to take the book on the road to various conventions this year. In two weeks, I’ll be at Kids Read Comics in Dearborn, Michigan. In September, I’ve made plans to attend Intervention in Rockville, Maryland. In November, I’m planning to attend Webcomics Weekend, in North Hampton, Massachusetts and the UP! Fair in Lexington, Kentucky. (I’m still waiting to hear back on table space for Webcomics Weekend, but hopefully I’ll know for sure in the next week or two.)

That’s the promotion side of the equation…

This year, I’m keen to start working on a new PC Weenies book: a follow-up to “Rebootus Maximus”. I hope to have it ready for print by early next year. I’ve already got a tentative title in place, but I’m curious to know what the interest level would be like before undertaking such an extensive project. Assuming you would be interested in a new PCW book, what additional content would you prefer to see in it?
