The recent deaths at Walmart and Toys-R-Us on Black Friday were totally senseless. It’s another reason I avoid stores during the holidays. I much prefer ordering products online. Nobody ever got trampled picking up a package from the mailman.
The shift to black and white in the comic was deliberate. I have family over this week, and the new format was more expedient. I’ll probably continue this format til the end of the year. We’ll see how it goes from there…

December 3, 2008 at 1:37 pmLove the new format, Krishna! The B&W looks great! (actually been thinking of going B&W myself for the Mon-Sat comics.)
And yeah, crazy Black Friday. The Toy “R” Us one sounded like it would’ve happened anyway, but the Wal-mart incident was disgusting; a man’s dead, BECAUSE of the crowd, and the crowd shops on anyway? They should have closed the store.

December 3, 2008 at 2:41 pmNice comic. People don’t realize how hard it can be to pull off B&W comics. But you’ve done it well with your good use of blacks and prudent use of grayscale.
Does this mean we should expect more updates from you in the future? ;)

December 3, 2008 at 3:04 pmI like the black and white look and considering that it is about Black Friday very much in line with the comic.

December 3, 2008 at 8:30 pmThanks everyone! I am enjoying the process of working with a monochromatic palette. I’m already spread pretty thin with updates, Tony :) – this allows me to keep my schedule from totally strangling me…
