Today’s comic strip presents another slight detour on our continuing story (which, as it stands, should wrap up next Friday). The detour is quite all right because it features PCW Guest-Star Chris Jefferson appearing with Grampa within his very own commissioned comic strip, courtesy of his fiancee Karen Petrie.
Karen purchased the framed print option, which should (by this writing) have arrived safe and sound in Oxford, U.K. as a surprise for Chris’ birthday (June 20th). In developing today’s comic, Karen wrote:
Chris is an academic at Oxford University (currently a post doc) in
the Computing Laboratory. He is a researcher in constraint programming and is the lead architect of Minion.
He is a C++ expert often referring to it as a “mans language” I have
told him that as a women in computing he is not allowed to call it
that!
Best regards,
Karen
So, there you have it…
Happy Birthday, Chris!
Thank you, Karen – for your support! Chris now appears on the Featured Guest-Stars page (a.k.a. the PCW Wall of Fame). Check it!
