And one with a lighter outline around the character:
If you aren’t reading The Abominable Charles Christopher, you’re missing out on one of the best illustrated webcomics out there. Above is my take on the Abominable himself. Which version do you prefer?

P.S. Keep those Fan Art requests coming, folks.
Do you draw a webcomic? Do you read webcomics? What character from your favorite webcomic would you like me to draw? I’m planning to start a Fan Art Friday blog post here on pcweenies.com, where I flex my developing cartooning muscles on other people’s characters. Each Friday, I’ll post a drawing of a character request. Some may be in black and white, some may be in color.
Post your suggestions in the thread below. And don’t forget to spread the word and tell your webcomic friends!

Don’t forget to read it! (and tell your friends!)
And if you haven’t already, give this week’s Art & Story Alive podcast!

Update: At the moment it looks like I’m having issues with the server UNcubed is hosted on. Apologies in advance. Hopefully it will be back later this morning… It’s up now. :)
My “bachelor days” (or is that “bachelor daze”?) installments continue.
This particular strip was drawn entirely using Photoshop.

For the last 3 years I’ve been digitally inking with Painter. Why Painter? My inking results in Photoshop were not yielding the line variations I wanted.
Now that I have a new Intuos4 tablet to play with, I decided to give Photoshop another chance. I also experimented a bit more with the brush options. Below are the settings I have found that yield good results. It’s still not quite as awesome as the Scratchboard Tool in Painter, but it’s very close.
End result: I’m now very tempted to ink a strip in Photoshop, just to see what the overall results will be.
Enjoy!

P.S. Do you want multiple Undos in Photoshop? You can remap the Cmd-Z key to “Step Backward” – which does precisely that.
Poor guy, if only he knew Bob…
Nothing’s better than acing a technical interview. Except for rubbing it in when you know more than the interviewer ;)

A topical bonus ‘toon inspired by Oprah Winfrey’s debut on Twitter.
Enjoy!

Update: I just realized that today’s comic is the 1337th PC Weenies comic. What do I win?
