Armed with some new art supplies, courtesy of my new favorite art supply store, Dick Blick, I’ve been exploring more of the analog side of drawing these past few days. Here are a few photos taken this evening at my little office studio.

Turning off all the lights, except for my animation table, gives it a really neat glow…

Here’s the piece I worked on this evening, featuring Pam aka Agent Siren:

I created this piece on bristol board paper. I roughed the concept digitally, then lightboxed it with a non photo blue pencil. Inks and grays were added with PrismaColor Premier brush pens and markers and PITT pens were used for the grays.

I reorganized my studio this afternoon. I took some time to vacuum the carpet in all those hard to reach areas where wires usually hide.

The maple desk carries a 20″ Cinema Display with PowerMac Dual 2GHz G5. The wood laminate desk houses a dual display setup, with a 30″ Samsung and 19″ HannsG being driven by a Mac Pro (2.8GHz octo-core).

From an ergonomic standpoint, I feel like I did the right thing. My keyboard is now at a comfortable height. I also brought my MacPro up on the desk.

I was also able to clean and eliminate some unnecessary hardware and cabling. The hutch houses all my external drives. I’m feeling productive already!
