I posted a new one late yesterday evening, but had to crank out a special topical ‘toon because I just couldn’t resist. Today, I’m leaving for Intervention. If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll stop by and visit my booth (#59). :)

Yesterday, Apple finally released their guidelines on their rejection policies when it comes to developing apps for iOS. One of those particular guidelines is “no more Fart apps”, and today’s comic theorizes why such a mandate was made. Does this mean we can expect an official iFart app from Apple?

The mind boggles.

I’ve been taking in all the brouhaha over the latest iPhone. It’s been a very interesting story to follow, to say the least. Many people have reported the antenna attenuation issue, and Apple’s response has been that other companies, like RIM and Nokia, also suffer the same type of problem. (RIM and Nokia have since responded to Job’s comments.)

I don’t have an iPhone 4 (or any iPhone for that matter), so I can’t comment first hand on the issue. But that doesn’t mean I couldn’t have some fun with it. I’ll leave the debate up to you, dear reader, if you wish to share your thoughts on the latest iPhone news story. Is Apple right? Or is it a “smoke-and-mirrors” move by the Cupertino company? Sound off in the comments below!

One couldn’t help but note the palpable irony in Apple’s recent HTML5 showcase. Which is why you’re seeing today’s “weekend edition” hot off the digital press.

HTML5 has compelling features, as I’m sure Apple touts, but look carefully before you think the company is being completely “open”.

It’s the day before Steve takes the stage. And there’s only one thing I can predict with 100% certainty: There will be complainers.

Disappointment is the only certainty when it comes to tech revelations. But let’s hope the disappointed camp is in the minority. I want this tablet to kick butt!

So, as we sit here on the day before launch, what’s your guess as to the name of this device?

My heart string’s pulling for “Newton”, but I get the feeling that the device might be called “iPad”, if the other rumor sites have their say. Share your guesses in the comments below.
