Friday’s toon (the very next one) will be my last, at least for a month. I’m taking a break. We’re moving to a new house in mid-January so I have to put the comic on a slight hiatus until February 1st. This will be the first big break I’ve had from the comic in 12 years…
Check back in from time to time, there may be a few surprises…

As a grad student, you’re usually the lowest on the academic food chain. One particular incident came to my mind when I was an EE grad student:
I remember a college professor of mine stopping in to find out if I was doing anything the next day. “No,” I blurted. “Good, because you’re teaching my Circuits class tomorrow.”
Lesson learned.

This week, my goal to move forward on the storylines I set in motion a few months back. Why the delay? Primarily because I had a lot of things to juggle for the past several months. I wanted some time to properly write, rather than attempting to cram my way through. Thankfully, things have settled back down again (at least for the next two weeks…).
Anyhoo, above is a summary of where we left our principle characters. Check the New Readers page to catch up on everything so far.

Late yesterday afternoon, I added process work to the previous strip. Pencils were created using Sketchbook Pro, Inks in Corel Painter, and everything else in Photoshop. The site’s now chugging along with my new host.
