Given the dearth of comments that plague many a blog, one can’t help but wonder if he or she is speaking into a vacuum. At least, that’s the way it sometimes feels to me, being the lonely cartoonist toiling away week in and week out for the invisible “masses”.

Creative Sparks

Today’s toon was inspired by a Twitter post I made over the weekend. I was feeling a little creatively burnt out and shared my concerns with my friends and followers. The flurry of responses and tips led to the ‘toon up above.

A few books I’m planning to check out include:

Creative Grab Bag: Inspiring Challenges for Artists, Illustrators, and Designers

and

Creative Sparks: An Index of 150+ Concepts, Images and Exercises to Ignite Your Design Ingenuity.

Both look like excellent reads, particularly for someone like myself.

So… How do you handle writer’s block?
